Scholarships and Grants
As a student, Bob gave credit to his teachers and community for saving him. Education and community thus became his creed.
This had a major impact on Bob's teaching style. He was a transformational educator who brought the outdoors indoors for his students - and when he couldn't - he built a trail system and greenhouse so he could take his students outdoors.
Our scholarship and grants continue this creed bringing community support to our teachers and students so their work can transform the Leavenworth community and beyond.
The Coach Hart - Natural Ned Scholarship
This scholarship is open for Leavenworth or Lansing public school seniors who plan to attend a university or college in the field of science or a vocational training program. Apply here.
The Pay It Forward Grant
This small grant is open for teachers or students in Leavenworth or Lansing public schools that want to fund a project or service to help students or the community explore the natural world or build character development through extracurricular school activities. Apply here.
The NED Transformational Education Grant
This grant is currently in development. It is for students and teachers in the Leavenworth and Lansing public schools. It will be intended to provide funding for larger science-based projects that will have an impact on students and/or the community.
